Honda's CB300R pumps up for the BS6.2 era with unmodified weight and power, prepared to compete with the best sub-400cc bikes.

The 2023 Honda CB300R launched took place yesterday by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India. The Neo Sports Café Roadster costs INR 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). And it gets a price cut of INR 37,000.

The Honda CB300R's styling is based on that of the CB1000R litre-class roadster. The motorcycle has an upswept exhaust, a muscular fuel tank with a short tail section, and a circular LED headlamp. It now has a hazard light switch, a digital instrument console, and an emergency stop signal.

The 286.01cc, single-cylinder engine that powers the CB300R has been updated to comply with BS6 OBD2A regulations. Through an assist slipper clutch, it is connected to a 6-speed gearbox and generates 30.7 BHP and 27.5 Nm.

Two color choices for the 2023 CB300R are Matte Massive Grey Metallic and Pearl Spartan Red.

The KTM 390 Duke (INR 3.11 lakh), the always-stylish BMW G 310 R (INR 2.90 lakh), the charismatic Triumph Speed 400 (INr 2.33 lakh),  and the spirited TVS Apache RTR 310 (starting at INR 2.43 lakh) will compete with the Honda CB300R in the hotly contested sub-400cc naked bike category.
