2024 Force Gurkha 3-Door and 5-Door Launched in India; Check New Prices and Features

The Force Gurkha 3-door and 5-door SUVs are available in four exterior color schemes: red, green, black, and white.

Force Motors, an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing brand, has finally launched its much-awaited 2024 Force Gurkha 3-door and 5-door models in the Indian market. The new 5-door iteration of the Gurkha is priced at INR 18 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Gurkha 3-door version comes at a price tag of INR 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The Gurkha 5-door comes with additional features, extra seats, and a more robust engine. The 3-door version has also received feature updates and a more powerful engine.

Bookings for the Gurkha range commenced on April 29. Interested customers can reserve the new models by paying a token amount of INR 25,000. According to Force Motors, dispatches to dealers will start this week, while test drives and deliveries will commence in the middle of May.

The 2024 Force Gurkha features the same G-Wagen-inspired boxy design along with fender lights, signature circular LED lights, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The 2024 Gurkha range now comes equipped with 8-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a set of new manageable outside rear-view mirrors. The company is also offering a windshield brace, a heavy-duty roof rack, and a tailgate ladder. The Gurkha 5-door is 26 mm taller and 125 mm longer than its 3-door sibling, although the width is identical. The new SUV is available in both 7-seater (5-door) and 4-seater (3-door) options, and the new seats are covered in twin-tone upholstery. Inside the cabin, the Gurkha 3-door and 5-door get an updated dashboard that houses a new 9-inch touchscreen display followed by a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The 2024 Force Gurkha comes loaded with features like individual armrests, multiple USB ports, ABS, dual airbags, EBD, and new cupholders. The Gurkha 5-door houses a bench seat, roof-mounted AC vents, and a foldable central armrest. On the other hand, the Gurkha 3-door only has 4 captain seats.

Under the hood, the Force Gurkha 3-door and 5-door models are powered by an updated 2.6-litre turbocharged intercooled diesel engine. The unit churns out a power of 138 bhp and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The cars also get rear and front locking differentials. The auto giant is also offering two driving modes: Eco and Power.

In the Indian market, the 2024 Force Gurkha will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door and Mahindra Thar 3-door. Commenting on the launches, the Managing Director of Force Motors, Prasan Firodia, said, "The Force Gurkha is a testament to our commitment towards providing an unparalleled driving experience by combining our legacy of robust engineering and manufacturing excellence.” He further added, “The Force Gurkha is a unique vehicle that is equally comfortable doing daily commutes, highway drives, and overlanding across the country.”
