The new sedan is anticipated to get the same design updates as the upcoming Swift.

Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the all-new Swift and Dzire in the Indian market later this year. The new-generation Dzire sedan has recently been spotted testing in India. Spy images of the compact Dzire sedan are floating on social media. The new Dzire comes with a sportier look, all thanks to its redesigned lower bumper along with sharp lines and creases, which set it apart from the upcoming Swift model.

Inside the cabin, the all-new Dzire model is likely to come loaded with features like a 360-degree camera, seat ventilation, new center AC vents, an updated 9.0-inch infotainment panel and digital driver display retained from the new Swift, a dual-tone theme, a 3-spoke steering wheel, a toggle-style auto climate control panel, wireless charging, and more.

The Maruti Dzire is expected to come with a revamped bumper, a new pair of LED headlights and taillights, newly designed 5-spoke alloy wheels, and more. The silhouette of the test mule gets no changes in terms of design. In terms of dimensions, the Dzire appears to be the same as the outgoing model. It is based on the same platform that underpins the forthcoming Swift hatchback. The sedan is anticipated to get the same design updates as the Swift. The Suzuki emblem is now integrated outside the grille, marking a shift in the design language.

Under the hood, the new Dzire will be powered by the company’s new Z-series 1.2-litre naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 82 bhp of power and a peak torque of 108 Nm. The new-gen Swift will also come equipped with the same unit. The engine will come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed AT transmission unit.

The current model of Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol unit that can churn out 89 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. Although the performance figures of the new Z-series 1.2-litre petrol engine are slightly lower than the present K-Series 4-cylinder mill, it provides an impressive mileage of up to 24.5 km/liter.

Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce the new-generation Swift in the coming weeks, and the Dzire sedan will also be unveiled shortly after. After its official launch in the Indian market, the new sub-compact sedan will rival the likes of the Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura.
