Mercedes-Benz has ultimately unveiled the most-awaited 2024 GLS facelift model in the country at an introductory price of INR 1.32 Crore. After fathoming a lot, the brand has given their car lineup a jump by bringing this car alive on the Indian roads. The 3-row GLS is positioned directly above the Mercedes’ SUV line-up and made its debut across global markets in April 2023.

The key-star in all the design and pricing updates in comparison to the other model is that it completely replaces the design of the front grille. The facelift model acquired 4 horizontal chrome strips rather than 2, a new block pattern signature on the rear tail lights, a revamped front bumper, and a new daytime running lamp (DRL). The 2024 GLS facelift is offered with 21 inch alloy wheels and an array of 5 color options to choose from namely High-tech Silver, Selenite Grey, Polar White, Sodalite Blue, and Obsidian Black.

The GLS facelift comes with 3 faux leather-finished interior upholstery options: black, beige, and brown. A new steering wheel with haptic feedback buttons and the most recent MBUX system, which offers improved usability and even off-road screens, are included in the facelift.
Given its size—5.2 meters long by 1.96 meters wide—the new 360-degree camera will be especially helpful when maneuvering through confined spaces in the large GLS. The opulent SUV has ADAS features and an air suspension system that can be adjusted.
The GLS is a luxury vehicle, so it has features like wireless charging, heated and cooled seats, and a standard 'Rear Seat Comfort' package that adds more luxury for the backseat passengers. Head restraints, adjustable front seat controls for more room, electric sunblinds, two 11.6-inch entertainment screens, and an extra tablet for controlling all of these features are included.
There are two available powertrains for the Mercedes-Benz GLS facelift: a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder petrol engine producing 381 horsepower and 500 Nm, and a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder diesel engine producing 367 horsepower and 700 Nm. The mild hybrid system that powers both vehicles has an integrated starter generator (ISG) that adds 20 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. The GLS has a 500 mm water wading depth and a nine-speed automatic gearbox that powers all four wheels.
