2024 MG Gloster Facelift Spotted Testing in India Ahead of Launch

MG Motor India is gearing up to launch a facelift version of its famous Gloster SUV in the Indian market. The new model is named the MG Gloster facelift, and it is going to be a rebranded iteration of the LDV D90/Maxus D90, which is retailed as the Gloster in the country. The MG Gloster facelift has recently been spotted testing in the country. Several videos of the SUV are floating on social media. The facelifted version of MG Gloster will soon hit the Indian market.

The 2024 MG Gloster facelift will receive significant design updates along with subtle interior enhancements. It will feature a revamped front fascia and a three-slat grille that has the MG logo at its heart. MG will offer the new model with new headlights featuring a split cube-shaped headlamp setup. The front profile of the SUV will be enhanced by LED DRLs, which will be extended into the grille.

The upcoming MG Gloster facelift will draw power from a 2.0-liter diesel engine, which is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This powertrain is tuned to generate 213 bhp of maximum power output and 478 Nm of peak torque. It will come in two versions: twin-turbo and turbo.

The new Gloster SUV is expected to feature the same alloy wheels as the outgoing model. The SUV will come equipped with revamped LED taillamps along with a connecting light bar. Inside the cabin, the 2024 MG Gloster facelift is expected to get features like wireless smartphone connectivity, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated and powered front seats, a digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround camera, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.

MG Motor is currently the country’s second-largest electric car company. In India, the brand offers models like the Comet EV and the ZS EV. Under the MG 2.0 strategy, MG and JSW Group are aiming to unveil more electric vehicles in India. MG is aiming to leave a mark on the rapidly growing Indian automotive market with its 2.0 strategy.
