Triumph Motorcycles has rolled out a special edition of the Trident 660 motorcycle for the international market. The new motorcycle is called the Triple Tribute Edition. The auto giant will sell this model only for one year. The Triple Tribute Edition sports a dynamic graphic scheme that pays homage to the legendary ‘Slippery Sam', which is the most famous Trident in history, and it won five TT production races from 1971 to 1975.
The new special edition comes in a special black, white, and blue color scheme, along with a few red accents. The bike also features race number graphics and race-inspired graphics. In addition, the Triple Tribute Edition comes with upgraded technology incorporating Triumph Shift-Assist, which functions as an up-and-down quickshifter, a belly pan, and a flyscreen.
Triumph has not made any changes to the engine of the new model. Hence, the Triple Tribute Edition continues to be powered by a 660 cc, in-line liquid-cooled triple-cylinder engine. The unit churns out a maximum power of 79 bhp at 10,250 rpm and 63 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed unit gearbox, which features a slip-and-assist clutch.

The Triumph Trident 660 is underpinned by a tubular steel perimeter structure that utilizes a dual-sided steel swingarm. A monoshock in the back and 41 mm upside-down forks at the front support the frame. Since the suspension system is derived from Showa, the rear suspension is an RSU unit with preload adjustment, while the front suspension consists of separate function forks.
The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch aluminum wheels that are shod with 180/55 tyres up front and 120/70 tyres in the back. The bike comes to a halt utilizing Nissin single-piston sliding calipers with a single 255 disc at the back and Nissin two-piston sliding calipers with dual 310 mm discs in the front. The 2025 Triumph Trident Triple Tribute will first be exported to North American dealerships in April.
The Triumph Trident 660 comes equipped with ABS, switchable traction control, road and rain riding modes, a ride-by-wire throttle, and a color TFT screen that is integrated with a ‘white-on’ black’ LCD display. The two-wheeler giant can retail the Trident Triple Tribute with a host of 32 accessories, incorporating technology, style and detailing, protection and care, comfort and practicality, and security.
Commenting on the launch of the new Triple Tribute Edition, the chief commercial officer at Triumph Motorcycles, Paul Stroud, said, “Since its launch in 2020, this middleweight roadster has reinvigorated this highly competitive category, selling more than 35,600 units worldwide. Its triple engine and premium detailing at a great price has been successful in bringing younger and new riders to Triumph, and just as ‘Slippery Sam’ once inspired a generation, we believe this special edition has the iconic style, extra technology, and dynamic performance to appeal to today’s Triumph fans.”
India has now become the world’s fifth country to have its own vehicle crash safety test network.
