The current generation 5-series will soon be replaced by a much sleeker version. BMW has not released much about the new model but here is a look at all we know.
1. It packs power
BMW has left no stone unturned to deliver powerful performance in this car. It will be released in India with three engine variants - the 256hp straight-six diesel (530d), the 190hp four-cylinder diesel (520d) and the 252hp four-cylinder petrol (530i).
2. The tech is impressive
The car will even completely satisfy the geeks out there. With cool new technology included from the 7-series such as gesture control, efficient touch controls, a fully-digital instrument cluster, adaptive driving modes, a high-resolution infotainment screen, the latest iDrive system, a smartphone-like key and a remote parking function (where the driver stands outside the car and it parks itself).
3. It's really comfortable
For a car with such impressive specs, the 5-series doesn't cut any corners on comfort. The back seat is roomy and comfortable - the front seat comes with seat memory. The seats are fitted with high-quality genuine leather.
4. There's a spare tyre included
Just in case you face a surprise puncture, BMW has included a spare tyre that will be stored under the boot floor. It's well tucked in and should pose no problems when not in use.
5. It will be priced above Rs 50 lakh
Since the car is slated to be launched in June-July, no official word has been released about the price range, but it is expected to be in the range of ₹52-65 lakh.
