Jaguar is bringing its first all-electric SUV I-Pace to the Indian market in 2021. The bookings had already begun in November 2020 with deliveries scheduled to commence from March later this year. Now, the British luxury manufacturer has shared the images of the first unit of the EV arriving at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Mumbai. The unit will undergo extensive testing and validation across the country before its official launch in the country in the coming months. The first unit seen in the images here is a top-end HSE variant in Firenze Red colour scheme. As we already know, the I-Pace EV will be retailed in three trims: S, SE and HSE. It will be equipped with a single powertrain option.
The performance SUV will be offered in 12 colour schemes - Fuji White, Caldera Red, Santorini Black, Yulong White, Indus Silver, Firenze Red, Caesium Blue, Borasco Grey, Eiger Grey, Portofino Blue, Farallon Pearl Black, and Aruba. The lithium-ion battery pack is offered with an 8 years or 1,60,000 kms warranty. Other benefits one can look forward to are 5 years service package, 5 years Jaguar Roadside Assistance and a 7.4 kW AC wall-mounted charger.

Moving on to the exterior design, the premium EV flaunts honeycomb pattern grille, advanced projector LED headlamps, sleek taillights and wide air dram. The top-end HSE variant boasts of matrix headlights while the SE trim comes with projector LED headlamps. The EV rides on new 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, there is a PiPo infotainment intuitive system with compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 12 speakers, Adaptive Cruise Control, Heads Up Display and many more features.
Talking about the performance, Jaguar I-PACE SUV doesn’t disappoint at all. The EV is powered by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery belting out a massive 400 bhp of maximum power and 696 Nm of peak torque. Plus, the EV offers 3 driving modes- Urban, Motorway and the third being a combination of the first two modes. The performance SUV comes with an All Wheel Drive (AWD) system. It features twin independent motors, one each in the front and rear axles. The electric SUV goes from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds. The EV supports both AC and DC charging as the 11 kW 3-Phase onboard charger converts the electricity to DC. If the customer opts for the 100 KW rapid charger, the 90kWh lithium-ion battery will take 45 minutes to charge from 0 - 80 per cent.
