It is based on the brand's advanced Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP)

The all-electric Kia EV9 Concept has made its world premiere. Based on the brand's advanced Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the three-row SUV takes inspiration from the ‘Bold for Nature’ design pillar of Opposites United design language. The production-spec Kia EV9 will debut in 2023 in multiple European markets across the globe. Kia had launched the all-electric EV6 crossover last year in several global markets and it is expected to go on sale in India in the coming few years.

Dimensionally, Kia EV9 measures 4930 mm in length, 2055 mm in width and 1790 mm in height while having a wheelbase of 3100 mm. The all-electric SUV flaunts a full body coloured front with the new Digital Tiger Face. The front grille houses an intricate star cloud pattern display that is completely hidden behind the body panel. There are vertical daytime running lamps (DRLs) at the front as well as rear alongside a new air vent design. The hood vent duct area is also utilised as a solar panel which in turn helps to regain some of the electric energy that the Concept EV9 uses. It greatly benefits the owners as an alternative source of energy when they are not close to a charging station.
