Mahindra Bolero Neo is the updated and rebadged version of the TUV300

Mahindra & Mahindra is ready to launch the all-new Bolero Neo in the Indian market. The home-grown automaker recently released the first teaser of the upcoming SUV on its various social media channels. For those asking, Mahindra Bolero Neo is the updated and rebadged version of the TUV300 while it will be positioned above the standard Bolero SUV. The SUV will come with cosmetic updates at the outside as well as inside the cabin while expected to get only a diesel engine with manual transmission as standard.

Going by the teaser image, it shows the Mahindra Bolero Neo emerging through a cloud of dust along with a caption which reads, "Dare made it to our dictionary. Fear couldn't." It has been further learnt that the SUV will go on sale in three trims namely N4, N8 and N10. Recently, it was spotted undisguised and one could clearly see the restyled front fascia with a new chrome-finished six-slat grille and revamped headlamp units. The headlamps will also get horizontal daytime running lamps (DRLs). The front bumper has also been redesigned while it houses the foglamps. The air intakes are larger than before while it will ride on silver-finished five-spoke alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, Mahindra Bolero Neo will get new upholstery, premium seats and a touchscreen infotainment system.

Under the bonnet, Mahindra Bolero Neo will have a BS6 compliant 1.5L diesel engine which already does duties to the XUV300. This engine generates maximum power of 114 bhp and peak torque of 300 Nm. The engine could be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The Mahindra TUV300 used to draw power from a BS4 compliant engine with 100 bhp and 240 Nm. Though, the official engine specifications of the new SUV haven't been divulged yet by the brand. It is still unclear whether Mahindra Bolero Neo will get the 1.2L petrol engine or not. Mahindra Bolero Neo will rival the other sub 4-metre SUVs like Maruti Vitara Brezza, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and Toyota Urban Cruiser in the country.
