Aprilia SXR 125 Bookings Start at Rs 5000

Piaggio India has commenced the pre-bookings for the Aprilia SXR 125 at a token amount of Rs 5000 across its authorized dealerships in the country. In fact, the performance-oriented scooter can also be booked online at Aprilia's e-commerce website. The company has already commenced the production of Aprilia SXR 125 at its Baramati manufacturing unit in Pune. It will be offered in four paint schemes namely Matt Black, Glossy White, Matt Blue and Glossy Red. Aprilia SXR 125 will directly rival Suzuki Burgman Street 125 in the Indian market.

As for styling, the SXR 125 will flaunt signature Aprilia graphics alongside LED headlamp and LED tail-lamp cluster. The SXR 125 has been designed in Italy for the Indian market. It is identical to the SXR 160 in terms of styling, chassis and features, except for the 125cc engine. The scooter will also get longer, bigger and comfortable seating for two occupants. Some of the other features will include a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth mobile connectivity option, adjustable rear suspension and disc brake with CBS. Aprilia SXR 125 price in India is expected to start around Rs 1.30 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) which makes it nearly Rs 50,000 more expensive than Suzuki Burgman Street 125.

Mechanically, Aprilia SXR 125 will come loaded with a BS6 compliant 125cc three valve fuel injection engine which will churn out a top power of 9.5bhp and peak torque of 9.2Nm.
