After much wait, Piaggio India has launched the Aprilia SXR 160 at a price tag of Rs 1,25,997 (ex-showroom) Pune. Customers can book the premium scooter at an initial amount of Rs 5000. One can book Aprilia SXR 160 by either visiting the nearest dealership or through their official website. It competes against the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 in the domestic market. Users can look forward to a better riding experience thanks to bigger, longer, and comfortable seat. Premium appeal of the newly launched scooter is enhanced by sharper body lines, geometric contours, and high craftsmanship. Aprilia SXR 160 will retail in 4 colour options namely Glossy Red, Matt Blue, Glossy White, and Matt Black .
The premium look is complemented by 3 coat HD body finish, signature graphics and dark chrome elements. At the front, there are dual crystal headlights that are surrounded by LED lights and front indicator blinkers. Towards the rear, one can find LED taillights with integrated blinkers.
Aprilia SXR 160 offers features like a 5-inch fully digital cluster, RPM meter, fuel mileage indicator, digital fuel indicator, ABS indicator among many others. Additionally, the manufacturer is also providing mobile connectivity accessory. It will connect the rider’s smartphone to the scooter which will be helpful in locating it. One can also raise security alarm in case of a theft.
Talking about performance, SXR 160 is powered by a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 3 valve fuel injection engine. The scooter delivers 10.8 bhp of maximum power output @7100 rpm. Transmission duty is handled by a CVT gearbox. It comes with a good 7-litre fuel tank capacity. The two-wheeler is equipped with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) as standard. While braking duties are taken care of by a ventilated disc upfront and twin pots calipers hydraulic towards the rear.
