Ather Energy has showcased its upcoming, fastest electric scooter, the 450 Apex, on social media. The CEO and co-founder of Ather Energy, Tarun Mehta, has shared a video on his social media revealing the new 450 Apex. Pricing details of the scooter have not been shared by the company, but it will be priced a bit higher than the other scooters in Ather’s line-up. It is going to be the fastest e-scooter from the manufacturer. The new electric scooter is likely to get new hardware and notable software upgrades to achieve enhanced performance.
The video clip shared by Mr. Tarun Mehta showcases customers taking a test drive of the camouflaged Apex at Ather's recently held 10th anniversary event. Although the teaser video doesn’t provide many hints about the specifications, the top-of-the-line e-scooter is likely to get low-end acceleration and a higher top speed. Information regarding the range and battery life of the scooter has not been revealed.
The Ather 450X is currently the fastest scooter offered by the company. It boasts a high speed of 90 kmph, with 0–40 kmph coming up in 3.3 seconds. The 450X has a warp riding mode that is specifically designed to provide a boost when riders want to ride faster. To give the upcoming 450 Apex a unique touch, Ather might offer new riding modes. In October, the EV startup updated to the 450X, and it is now available with two battery options: 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh. The 450X models are priced at INR 1.26 lakh and INR 1.29 lakh. It gives tough competition to the Ola S1 Pro in the segment. The S1 Pro boasts a high speed of 120 kmph. The 450 Apex offered by Ather could boast the same speed or even exceed it.
