The second-gen RS5 Sports Coupè is now on sale in India at Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom). The car debuts the two-door coupè body style for the latest-generation A5 in India - the A5 line-up features sportback and convertible model.
Under the hood sits a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol motor. And, even though it may be smaller in displacement compared to the previous engine, it puts out a solid maximum power of 450hp and a whopping 600Nm. Audi claims the new RS5 can hit 100kph in 3.9sec! That’s half a second faster than the previous RS5. Power is sent to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system via an eight-speed gearbox.
In standard form, the car is limited to 250kph, but you can take that up to a top-speed of 280kph as an optional extra. There are 19-inch wheels are standard, while 20-inchers are optional. On the inside, you get sport seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, Alcantara leather upholstery, sport pedals and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument system with RS highlights.
Triumph Tiger 900 will replace the Tiger 800 while challenging the likes of Ducati Multistrada 950 and Honda Africa Twin.
