Audi India will start locally assembling the upcoming Q6 e-tron electric SUV in India. The brand recently unveiled its third electric vehicle, the Q6 e-tron, in the country. The upcoming Q6 e-tron is going to be the first Audi EV to be manufactured in the country, and it will be assembled at the brand’s Auto-VW Aurangabad plant. It is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2024.
The company is all set to strengthen its presence in India with its new offering. The concept Q6 e-tron electric SUV has also been spotted testing on Indian roads several times. The Audi Q6 e-tron will be positioned below the Q8 e-tron, which is priced at INR 1.15 crore (ex-showroom), and above the Q4 e-tron. It is expected to be priced higher than the current model. The Q6 e-tron is underpinned by the VW Group’s Scalable Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture.

Audi is likely to offer the EV at INR 85 lakh, which is way higher than the price of luxury EVs available in the country. The Audi Q6 e-tron comes equipped with a 100-kWh battery set that supplies power to the twin dual electric motors. The battery pack enables the electric SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds. Audi claims that the electric model will have a maximum range of 625 km. The Audi Q6 e-tron EV comes in a single-motor variant that provides a certified range of 641 km. The automaker is expected to unveil a new entry-level trim that will feature a smaller 80-kWh battery set.
Audi India is also anticipated to launch the sportier SQ6 e-tron in the country in the coming time. According to reports, the SQ6 e-tron might hit Indian roads in early 2025. The new model is expected to be priced at around INR 1.1 crore. The SQ6 e-tron will get a stiffer suspension for better agile handling characteristics.
