The ace Aussie All-rounder drives a Volvo XC60 and Audi Q5

Shane Watson celebrates his 39th birthday today with wishes pouring in from ICC and his IPL Team Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The All-rounder has been an integral part of the Australian team's success with his twin tons in the semi-final and final of the 2009 Champions Trophy. He was also awarded the 'Man of the Tournament' in the 2012 T20 World cup and 'Man of the Match' in 2006 Champions Trophy final. Shane Watson fans are not only in his home land of Australia but across the globe including India too. His all-round performances in IPL are nothing short of sheer brilliance as he was the 'Man of the Tournament' in 2008 and 2013 editions. The Aussie Cricketer's brilliance can be illustrated with a century in 2018 IPL final. On Shane Watson birthday, we are going to take a look at the majestic cars the legendary Australian All-rounder has in his garage. 

Volvo XC60

The 'Birthday Boy' known for his stylish cover drive and seam bowling isn’t far behind in having a classy car in his collection. Shane Watson owns a Volvo XC60, one of the safest and stylish offerings from the Volvo. In India, the crossover comes in a single variant - D5 inscription - with introductory price starting from from Rs 59,90,000 (Ex-Showroom, India). Volvo XC60 is powered by a 1,969 cc four-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine delivering 233 bhp of maximum power at 4000 rpm and  480 Nm of peak torque at 1750 - 2250 rpm. The engine is coupled with an 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission, sending power to all the four wheels. Since its launch in 2017, there has been no further updates except the transition from BS4 engine to BS6. 

Audi Q5

Shane Watson car collections boast of another powerful SUV in form of Audi Q5. The Q5 in India used to come in two variants - Audi Q5 35 TDI and Audi Q5 2.0 TFSI. The German luxury automaker has currently discontinued the SUV in India. The introductory price for the model was Rs 55.27 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, India). The Q5 35 TDI is powered by a 1968 cc TDI diesel engine which churns out 190 bhp of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque with the transmission duties handled by a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission. On the other hand, the Q5 2.0 TFSI is powered by a 1984 cc petrol engine whicj delivers top power of 252bhp and peak torque of 370Nm while mated to a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission. 

Shane Watson teammates in CSK also have some stunning cars in their collection. The skipper MS Dhoni has Hummer H2 while the southpaw Suresh Raina has Porsche Boxster followed by the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who owns an Audi Q7.
