An artist modifies an autorickshaw on the theme of #COVIDー19 to spread awareness about the deadly disease in Chennai.
Coronavirus Pandemic is sweeping across India with 21,000 plus confirmed cases and the death toll crossing 700. One of the worst crisis to hit the world since World War-II, countries are scrambling to find the right treatment for COVID-19. With the clinical trials yet to deliver results and vaccines are still years ahead, prevention is the only cure we might say. The Indian Government imposed a nationwide lockdown and restricted the movement of its citizens, requesting them to stay at home to stop the further spread of Coronavirus. Government departments and officials are working round the clock to educate the public about the dangers of this disease and how to avoid it.

Considering Indian death toll has been significantly lower than the other countries with less population, the lockdown has worked well. Apart from government officials and NGO's, the common man has risen to the task to educate Indians about this deadly virus. The person has infact taken a Bajaj Autorickshaw and tranformed it to look like Coronavirus. To make it happen, the artist has used plastic bottles and other waste materials to modify the vehicle. The auto will shuffle around Chennai and educate the public about wearing masks and how to be safe in this worrying time. Tamil Nadu as of now has 1.663 COVID-19 confirmed cases and a death toll of 20. This measure will help the Government in getting the message across to the general public.
