Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 1.02 lakhs (ex-showroom). The cruiser motorcycle now gets safer with the addition of a new signle-channel ABS system. The Bajaj Avenger 220 is available in both Street and Cruise versions, both are offered with the same price. The difference between the non-ABS version is Rs. 6700/-.
With this updated, the Bajaj Avenger only gets equipped with ABS and there are no other changes to the motorcycle. Powering the Indian cruiser is a 220cc engine that produces a maximum power output of 19 PS at 8400 RPM and 17.5 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM. Mated to this engine is a 5-speed transmission.
Ahead of the new safety norms taking place this year, Bajaj Auto has updated the Avenger 220 but the Avenger 180 is yet to get ABS, which is expected to be equipped soon. The latter competes with the Suzuki Intruder 150 which is being offered with ABS and is priced at Rs. 1.02 lakhs (ex-showroom). The bookings of the Avenger 220 ABS have begun and deliveries will commence soon in the following weeks.
