Bajaj Auto has increased the price of Dominar 400 by Rs 3000 in the Indian market. Being the company's flagship model, it was launched with a BS6 compliant engine last month at a sticker price of Rs 1.91 Lakhs. But, now with the price hike announcement, Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6 price stands at Rs 1.94 Lakhs. Surprisingly, the company has refrained from increasing the price of Dominar 250 as it continues to be sold at Rs 1.60 Lakhs. Earlier, Bajaj had also hiked the prices of the Pulsar range in the country.
Speaking about Bajaj Dominar 400, it comes with several premium features such as all LED lighting, fully digital primary and secondary instrument console, twin exhaust pipes, diamond-cut alloy wheels, split seats and split rear grab rails. The motorcycle is equipped with dual disc brakes at the front as well as rear with a dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard. The suspension duties are helmed by 43mm USD front forks and a multi-step adjustable rear monoshock. Bajaj Dominar BS6 has a ground clearance of 157mm while it weighs 184kgs. The fuel tank capacity of the motorcycle is 13 litres. The length, width and height stands at 2156mm, 836mm and 1112mm, respectively.
Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a BS6 compliant 373.3cc single-cylinder petrol engine with DOHC setup and fuel injection technology. The 4-valves engine with 3 spark plugs generates maximum power output of 40bhp at 8650rpm and peak torque performance of 35Nm at 7000rpm. The engine is linked with a 6-speed transmission while slipper clutch also comes as a standard feature. Meanwhile, in other news, it has been learnt that Bajaj has begun work on an all-new Pulsar RS400 model. The 400cc model will be the top-of-the-range model in Pulsar line-up. It is expected to launch by August 2020 in the Indonesian market. Currently, Pulsar RS200 is the flagship model in this range in India.
