Bajaj Auto launched the new Dominar 400 with factory-fitted touring accessories in India. The bike is priced at Rs 2.17 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The accessories further enhance the touring capabilities of the bike.

In terms of design, the new Dominar 400 gets an angular and stylish tall visor upfront. It is developed using CFD technology which offers a good wind blast protection and improves overall ride comfort. Moving on, the bike features sculpted fighter jet-inspired hand guard with flexi-winglets. This is further claimed to offer maximum wind protection. In addition, it also gets a luggage carrier, a back stopper, USB charging port, and a new engine bash plate with an integrated metal skid plate for better impact protection. Moving on, the new Dominar 400 features a new leg guard for better crash protection. The neatly integrated cast aluminium built navigation stay allows the rider to attach the navigation device. It is further positioned in such a manner that the rider is able to properly view the road. Apart from saddle stay, the rest of the accessories come as standard on the sport tourer. The saddle stay will be sold separately by Bajaj Auto dealers at a nominal rate. Talking about the color options, it will be offered in Aurora Green and Charcoal Black.

“Dominar 400 has been able to create a strong following for itself and has become the preferred choice for city riders and long-distance tourers, alike. Customers have pushed the bike into long distances and challenging geographies with aplomb, which inspired us to strengthen the sports tourer credentials in the new Dominar. Basis interactions with Dominar riders, we have thoughtfully designed and smartly handpicked the touring accessories that don’t just accentuate the style and tour-worthiness of the motorcycle but also amp-up the rider’s safety. These accessories are factory-fitted and will ensure that the riders will have the best touring experience,” as commented by Narayan Sundararaman – Head of Marketing, Bajaj Auto Ltd.

Performance-wise, the sport tourer is powered by a 373.3cc, liquid cooled, DOHC FI engine that churns out a top power of 38 bhp and a peak torque of 35 Nm. The motor is further mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are taken care of by 43mm USD forks upfront and a monoshock setup towards the rear. In terms of the brakes, the new Dominar 400 gets discs on both ends along with dual-channel ABS, dual barrel exhaust system, and all-digital instrumentation.
