India is brimming with car owners looking to implode their car collection with the luxury car segment. Seeing this trend, British car maker Bentley has launched their new Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid today in India. This luxury car is priced at INR 5.25 Crore (ex-showroom). This luxurious car directly competes with Rolls-Royce Ghost and Mercedes-Maybach S. This model comes with plug-in hybrid technology and can travel up to 40 kms purely on electric power.
There will be 60 color choices for the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid, along with Mulliner customization options. The chrome trimmings on the grille, headlight surrounds, window surrounds, door handles, exhaust pipes, door trims, and the Flying B mascot are all blackened out as part of Bentley's blackline standard for the Flying Spur Hybrid. In addition, the 'hybrid' badge on the boot lid is the only mark that this Flying Spur is a hybrid.
With five basic and ten alternative colors, Bentley provides clients 15 upholstery color options inside. For the dashboard, they have a choice of eight veneer types. Bentley also provides contrast stitching, piping, and badges for the seats to increase the level of customization.
The 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and electric motor that power the plug-in hybrid Flying Spur together create 750 Nm and 544hp. According to Bentley, the Flying Spur Hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.3 seconds and can go up to 805 kilometers on electricity alone.
Bentley has announced that by 2024, it will offer a hybrid powertrain option for all of its models, including the Flying Spur, Continental GT, and Bentayga. The Flying Spur and Bentayga already have hybrid variants, so the only model left is the Continental GT. Bentley will also introduce its first electric vehicle in 2025, and by 2030, all of its models will be EVs.
The Flying Spur Hybrid competes with the Mercedes-Maybach S580e globally, but it has no direct rivals in India. Flying Spur's competitors include the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class (INR 2.69-3.40 crore) and the Rolls-Royce Ghost (INR 6.95-7.95 crore).
Bentley is moving into the future with a focus on electrification. By 2024, all of its models will have a hybrid powertrain option, and by 2030, all of its models will be EVs.
The Flying Spur Hybrid is a testament to Bentley's commitment to electrification. It offers the same luxurious performance as the standard Flying Spur, but with reduced emissions and fuel consumption.
If you're looking for a luxurious and sustainable sedan, the Flying Spur Hybrid is a great option. It has no direct rivals in India, but it competes with the Mercedes-Maybach S580e globally.
