BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé Bookings Start at Rs 50,000

BMW India has started the pre-bookings for the upcoming 2 Series Gran Coupé at a token payment of Rs 50,000 in the country. The interested customers can visit BMW India's official website and explore a 360° view of the car’s exterior and interior. They will be directed to a pre-reservation page where booking can be done through a secure online payment mechanism. Additionally, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé bookings made before 15 October 2020, i.e. the official launch date, are eligible for several early-bird benefits.

Being scheduled to launch on October 15, 2020 in the Indian market, it is the company's first ever four-door coupé concept into the segment. The company is offering a complimentary Taj Experiences Gift Card worth Rs 50,000 to the customers who are booking the 2 Series Gran Coupé before the official launch. The aforementioned gift card can be redeemed for multiple transactions on stay, holiday packages, dining, spa and other experiences across some of the most luxurious properties in India. Customers can choose from Taj, SeleQtions and Vivanta Hotels and Ama Stays & Trails. BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé deliveries will commence nationwide on a first-come-first-serve basis.

 

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé Back

 

Recently, the 4-door coupe's 220d variant was spotted at a BMW dealership in Jaipur ahead of its launch in the country. Under the bonnet, it will have a BS6 compliant 2.0L diesel engine which will belt out top power of 187bhp and peak torque of 400Nm while linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is also being learnt that the German luxury automaker might introduce a 2.0L tubrocharged petrol engine with power output of 189bhp and torque performance of 280Nm at a later stage. BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe will directly rival the yet-to-be-launched Mercedes Benz A Class Limousine in the Indian market. As far as dimensions are concerned, the 2 Series Gran Coupe measures 4526mm in length and 1800mm in width with a wheelbase of 2670mm.
