BMW CE 04 Electric Scooter Bookings Commence in India; To Launch on July 24, 2024

BMW Motorrad has commenced bookings for the BMW CE 04 flagship electric scooter in India ahead of its official launch. The BMW CE 04 is all set to become India’s most expensive electric scooter. The two-wheeler giant will be launching the premium e-scooter in the country on July 24, 2024. Interested customers can reserve the CE 04 e-scooter by visiting their nearest BMW dealerships across India. The German auto giant will reveal the price of the BMW CE 04 next week. The premium e-scooter features several advanced features that enhance both safety and rider comfort.

The premium electric scooter is already on sale in international markets, where it is priced at $11,795. BMW is expected to launch the CE 04 e-scooter in India at INR 10 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of design, the upcoming scooter has a maxi scooter-like appearance. The scooter combines both modern and futuristic design elements. In the e-scooter segment, the bulky front-face design and bench seat set it apart from other premium offerings. The e-scooter gets a flat handlebar, LED lighting, sculpted bodywork, and a unique silhouette.

BMW is offering the CE 04 electric scooter with three riding modes: Rain, Eco, and Road. The BMW CE 04 features a large, full-color 10.25-inch TFT display that showcases information immediately. The scooter houses rider aids such as traction control, ASC, and ABS. It will feature a Type-C charging port, a keyless ride, and a ventilated storage compartment.

The upcoming BMW scooter measures 2285 mm in length, 1,150 mm in height, and 855 mm in width. The scooter has a seat height of 780 mm and features 15-inch wheels. For braking duties, the electric scooter gets a telescopic fork at the front and 265 mm discs at the rear. Powering the BMW CE 04 is a liquid-cooled electric motor that generates power of 42 bhp and peak torque of 62 Nm. The e-scooter has an 8.5kWh battery that provides a decent range of nearly 130 km. It can accelerate from 0 to 50 mph in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 120 kmph.
