BMW iX2 Teased Before its Debut on October 10, 2023

BMW has revealed a short teaser for the BMW iX2 and it is set to premiere on October 10, 2023. The BMW iX2 is a completely electric version of the X2 crossover.

Recently, the brand-new BMW iX2 teased on social media platforms ahead of its debut. BMW has revealed a short trailer for the brand-new BMW iX2 all-electric compact crossover. BMW has announced that the digital debut of the iX2 is slated for October 10 and its public premiere on October 25 at the Japan Motor Show in Tokyo. The market launch of the BMW iX2 is scheduled for March 2024. The BMW iX2 is a completely electric version of the X2 crossover.

BMW has announced that it now offers a minimum of one completely electric model in every major segment.  Under a new strategy, the BMW iX2 aims at new customers. The automaker has several EVs to offer its customers, including the iX1, iX3, iX SUVs, the i3 (in China only), the i5, i4, and i7 sedans. In BMW’s electric vehicle lineup, the iX2 will be the newest inclusion on the list. The BMW iX2 comes in two solid and eleven metallic paint finishes for the exterior, which also incorporate the fire red metallic variant.

BMW revealed a short teaser of the forthcoming BMW iX2. Although very few details were revealed in the teaser, a few important details of the BMW iX2 can be seen in the teaser image. The sharp, kidney-shaped front grille is noticeable in the image. The electric crossover, like the BMW X6, has sporty exterior details and a sloped roofline. In the teaser video, the LED headlamps and taillights are also visible. The cabin of the BMW iX2 is equipped with a large digital instrument cluster, which will give the users an enriched digital experience and a big infotainment system.

According to BMW, the automaker will focus on adding more digital technologies to the X2 and iX2 to improve the customer experience. The BMW iX2 will have an advanced BMW iDrive control system with QuickSelect. In the BMW iX2, there will be a new ConnectedDrive so that customers can access features like in-car gaming and audio/video streaming.

The BMW iX2 is speculated to employ a similar powertrain as the BMW iX1, which comes as an xDrive30e model with 388 horsepower and 493 Nm of torque. BMW will begin producing the BMW iX2 in late 2023 at the Regensburg factory in Germany, where the BMW iX1 is also made.
