BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition Launched in India at Rs 2.02 Crores

The BMW X7 Dark Shadow edition gets the M Sport package with the M Sport Exhaust system

BMW Group India has launched the new X7 ‘Dark Shadow’ Edition at a price tag of Rs 2.02 crores (ex-showroom) in the country. Its production is limited to just 500 units globally and it will be manufactured at the Bavarian carmaker's Spartanburg plant, in California, USA. The new limited edition will be available in India as a CBU unit in the M Sport design scheme. Interested customers can book it directly at the shop.bmw.in. The biggest highlight of the X7 Dark Shadow edition is the special paint finish called the Frozen Arctic Grey metallic. 




Cosmetically, the new limited edition gets black exterior elements. Upfront, it features a massive kidney grille finished in dark chrome along with the side window surrounds. Besides this, the covers of the B and C columns, the air intakes, the exterior mirror base, and the tailpipe covers of the exhaust system also get the black chrome finish. On the sides, the SAV gets a set of 22-inch M light-alloy wheels in V-spoke design with a Jet-Black matte finish




The cabin of the X7 Dark Shadow edition comes draped in Individual Merino full leather upholstery finished in a two-tone Night Blue/Black theme with contrasting seams. The BMW individual roof liner gets a Night Blue with Alcantara finish. Moving on, the centre console is finished in Piano Black shade and features the edition logo. It also features the signature crystal gear lever. Other feature highlights include a sky-lounge panoramic glass sunroof, five-zone air conditioning, M-leather steering wheel, soft-close function for doors, among many others. Furthermore, it also gets electrically adjustable comfort seats with a memory function for the driver and front passenger. 




The safety kit comprises of six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Attentiveness Assistance, electronic vehicle immobilizer, and crash sensor, electric parking brake with auto hold, ISOFIX child seat mounting, side-impact protection, and integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor. 




Performance-wise, the BMW X7 M50d is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 398 bhp and a peak torque of 760 Nm. The engine comes mated to an eight-speed step-Tronic sport automatic gearbox. This particular variant is claimed to achieve 0-100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds. The M Sport differential comes as a standard, while the automatic differential locks are electronically controlled.
