The EV scooter is available at a price tag of Rs 46,000. The scooter is sold without the battery.

EV segment is quietly becoming a lucrative business for many with new players marking their entry in the last year or so. Another firm to up their game in the competitive EV market is Bengaluru based Bounce. The smart mobility solutions provider has launched the Bounce E-Electric Scooter in the country. One has to register on the Bounce mobile application to book the electric scooter via the subscription option. The scooter is also available for long-term rental. As of now, it is only available in Bengaluru.

Earlier codenamed N3310, the scooter had been in development for many months. Developed in-house, it is quite similar to the model unveiled in 2020. Though there are minor changes in the production-spec model like no visor, smaller headlamp and a spring-loaded suspension system. Also, the contrasting piping seat matches the dual-tone colour appearance of the scooter. The design is quite minimalistic and seems suitable for daily commuting. The riding stance is in quite a forward position for a comfortable riding experience with space for luggage or other supplies.

The electric two wheeler comes equipped with a Swappable battery having a range of 60kms on a single full charge. The battery swapping infrastructure is currently operational in Bengaluru for EV customers. Battery swapping is becoming quite a trend in the EV segment as users are showing a preference for the same. The reason is recharging electric two-wheelers takes time even if one opts for fast charging. With battery swapping, the scooter gets full charging immediately. In Bounce-E, its battery can be replaced in just a minute or even less.

The EV scooter is available at a price of Rs 46,000. The scooter is sold without the battery. One can avail the battery on lease which reduces the overall cost of the scooter. Currently, Bounce is available in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. It plans to expand operations in other Indian cities during 2021.
