Force’s BS4-Compliant Gurkha Launched

The new Gurkha comes with two new variants, few cosmetic changes and a BS4-compliant 85hp, 2.6-litre engine.

Force Motors has just launched a New Gurkha with the new (mandatory for 2017 BS4-compliant) engine. Along with the engine, the new Gurkha also features others updates for 2017 – it features cosmetic changes, a new chassis and a new suspension setup all around. Prices for the new Gurkha, start at ₹8.45 lakh and go up to ₹11.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.

In terms of styling, the Gurkha comes with a new front and rear steel bumper, new graphics on the body, more up-to-date clear lens headlamps, a full-length footboard and four colour options this time around. The colour options include Supreme White, Matt Black, Copper Red and Moonbeam Silver.

Coming to the engine, it is a reworked version of the older 2.6-litre diesel motor, which is now BS4 compliant. The engine churns out 85hp is linked to a five-speed manual transmission.

Force Motors has also introduced two variants, the Xplorer, which is available as a hard-top and a soft-top, three-door or five-door, that can seat five or seven people and comes with permanent four-wheel-drive, and the Xpedition trim, which is a five-door car that can seat up to nine people but only gets rear-wheel drive.
