The Coronavirus Pandemic has drastically affected the automobile market. Rising input cost is further forcing the two-wheeler brands to increase the prices of their motorcycles. Bajaj Auto, the leader in the two-wheeler segment for ages now is also included in this list. The company has recently given a price hike of Rs 1025 to its best-selling model, the BS6 Pulsar 150. The eco-friendly bike is now available at Rs 97,958 (ex-showroom). Bajaj launched the BS6 version of Pulsar 150 earlier this year at a price tag of Rs 96,960 (ex-showroom).
Dimensionally, the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is 2055mm in length, 765mm in width and has a wheelbase of 1320mm. The bike offer a good ground clearance of 165mm. In terms of features, the BS6 Pulsar 150 sports the same design as its BS4 counterpart. However, it gets some new body color options. Upfront, the bike gets twin pilot lamps with AHO (Auto Headlamp On). At the sides, the extended fuel-tank shrouds along with sharp side body panels giving the bike a sporty look. Other feature highlights include an aggressive-looking cowl at the rear end. Apart from this, the motorcycle also gets updated graphics that give it a premium feel. The upright seating position ensures maximum comfort to the rider.
Under the frame, the bike is powered by a BS6 compliant 149.50cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The engine comes with twin-spark-plugs and fuel-injection. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, it churns out 14 bhp power @ 8500 rpm and 13.25 Nm torque @ 6500 rpm. Braking duties are taken care of by a single 260 mm disc brake upfront and a 130 mm drum brake towards the rear, paired to a single-channel ABS. As for the suspension, the Pulsar 150 gets conventional telescopic forks in the front along with twin spring shock absorber at the rear. The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is available in two color options namely Black Grey and Black Red.
