BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Price Hiked by Rs 2,000

Prices of BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 have been increased by Rs 2,000 for both single and double disc variants.

Bajaj Auto India had recently revamped their Pulsar range with all the variants getting the new BS6 compliant engine. In a new development, the company has hiked the prices of the highly popular Pulsar 150 by Rs 2,000. Both the variants of BS6 Pulsar have received the hike with the standard variant and twin disc model costing Rs 96,960 and Rs 1 lakh, respectively, now. The launch prices for the Bajaj Pulsar 150 standard and twin disc models were Rs 94,956 and Rs 98,835 (All the prices are Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Hike in the prices could be attributed to the current Coronavirus pandemic and the mounting financial losses. BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 main rival in the Indian market is Honda Unicorn which is cheaper as it is priced at Rs 93,593.

 

Pulsar engine

 

The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar doesn’t come with any significant updates as compared to the outgoing BS4 model. It is powered by a 4-Stroke, 2-Valve, Twin Spark BSVI Compliant DTS-i FI engine delivering 14hp of top power at 8,000 rpm and 13.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,000  rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed unit. If we talk about the suspension system, 31mm telescopic forks are at the front while twin shock absorber gas-filled units are at the rear. The single-disc variant has a 260mm brake at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear. The double-disc variant of Pulsar 150 has a 230mm disc at the rear. The front brake size increases by 20mm. Bajaj Auto only offers a single-channel ABS with the Pulsar 150 in India. Fuel tank capacity is 15 litres while the ground clearance is 165 mm.

Pulsar 150

 

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 comes with a semi-digital instrument console displaying information like Low fuel light, redline indicator, side stand warning. Other key highlights in the bike are engine kill switch, backlit instrument cluster while the split seats are found only in the double-disc variant only.
