BS6 compliant Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220 details leaked.

BS6 deadline is ticking closer with 1st April 2020 is the last date for any sale and purchase of BS4 vehicles in India. Motorcycle brands in India are scrambling to launch BS6 motorcycles before the deadline date arrives and Bajaj is doing the same too. Bajaj Auto has already introduced 14 BS6 compliant commercial three-wheelers across the RE, Maxima and Maxima Cargo range to the Indian market. Today, BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 180 & BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar 220 specs were leaked which hints at an upcoming launch of the bikes.

BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 180 Specs

BS6 Pulsar 180 will be powered by the same 178.6 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as in the outgoing BS-IV Pulsar 180. BS6 bike engine comes with a SOHC setup and DTS-i technology while generating 16.7 bhp of maximum power. Power output remains the same as the predecessor while torque details remain unclear. Features would remain the same, including the design and the exterior. Priced at INR 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), it would be priced Rs 12,000 more than the BS4 model.

BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar 220 Specs

BS6 compliant Bajaj Pulsar 220 launch is awaited by the Indian customers and will generate the same power and torque as the outgoing BS4 Pulsar 220 model. New Bajaj Pulsar 220 is powered by a 220 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine generating around 20. 11 bhp of maximum power. Power is marginally less than the BS4 model by around 0.5 bhp in power but won’t affect the riding experience for the bikers. Pulsar 220 would set you back by around NR 1,16,262 (ex-showroom, Pune), making it expensive around INR 9,000 than the outgoing, BS-IV model with minimal design changes. 

Bajaj is making the full transition to the BS6 era with a slew of BS6 compliant launches in recent days.
