BS6 Hero Xtreme 200S has been launched today in the Indian market

Hero MotoCorp has launched the BS6 version of Xtreme 200S at Rs 1.15 Lakhs (ex-showroom) today in the country. It is Rs 13,000 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart. Furthermore, the bike had already started reaching the dealerships earlier this week with deliveries also underway. The company has also listed the updated bike on its official website.

In terms of design, the updated Xtreme 200S features attractive twin LED headlamps. As for features, the bike gets the same fully-digital instrument cluster as the one present on XPulse 200. It offers Bluetooth connectivity that allows the rider to use turn-by-turn navigation and get call alerts. The bike also features Hero’s AutoSail system which basically keeps the bike from stalling at slow speeds. The BS6 Xtreme 200S gets a new Pearl Fadeless White colour scheme along with two existing Sports Red and Panther Black color options.

Mechanically, the Xtreme 200S gets the same BS6-compliant engine option that powers the Xpulse 200. The bike draws its power from a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motor generates a maximum power of 18.08 bhp at 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 16.4 Nm at 6500 rpm. Furthermore, the engine gets an oil-cooler. Due to the oil-cooler and catalytic converter in the exhaust, the weight of the bike has increased by 5.5 kgs. Suspension duties are taken care of by a pair of conventional telescopic forks upfront and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock towards the rear. In terms of the brake, the bike gets a 276mm front disc and 200mm disc at the rear coupled up with a single-channel ABS. The bike will directly rival the Suzuki Gixxer SF
