Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has recently given a price hike of Rs 473 to the BS6 complaint Dio. Honda Dio is offered in two variants namely Standard and Deluxe. The Standard variant was initially offered at a price tag of Rs 61,497 (ex-showroom). After the new price increase, the scooter is now priced at Rs 61,970 (ex-showroom). Talking about the Deluxe variant, it is now retailed at Rs 65,320 (ex-showroom). Earlier, it was available for Rs 64,847 (ex-showroom).
The BS6 Honda Dio gets the same features as the Honda Activa 6G. These include a silent starter, tumble flow, and friction reduction technology. In addition, it also provides elements such as an external fuel filler cap, a side stand indicator with an engine cut-off function, and an all-digital instrument cluster with a real-time mileage indicator.
Mechanically, the BS6 Dio gets the same engine option as the Activa 6G. The scooter draws its power from a 109.51cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that churns out 7.76 bhp power @ 8000 rpm and 9 Nm torque @ 4750 rpm.
To celebrate 800 MotoGP wins, the company launched the Repsol Edition of the Dio at Rs 69,757 (ex-showroom). Furthermore, the New Dio Repsol Edition is Rs 5850 costlier than the standard variant. It gets the same engine option as the standard model.
