Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the BS6 version of Livo at a starting price of Rs 69,422 (ex-showroom). The bike is available in two variants namely Drum & Disc. The New Honda Livo BS6 is Rs 10,000 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart.
In terms of design, the BS6 Livo gets a new DC headlamp, integrated engine start/stop switch, integrated headlamp beam & passing switch, side-stand cut-off, and a service due indicator. The chiseled tank shrouds, modern front visor, and the bold fuel tank design give the bike an aggressive and sporty look. The main feature highlight is a new semi-digital meter console that has replaced the previous dual-clock unit. The all-new console gets an analog speedometer positioned on the left side along with a digital screen over the right side. The screen displays information such as fuel level bars, time, total trips, and service reminders among many others.
On the eve of the launch, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, "in our BSVI line up, we continue to create new value that enhances the quality of daily life and reinforce customer trust and confidence in our brand. Since its launch in 2015, Livo has been a favorite among aspirational buyers in its category. Equipped with Honda's latest technology & its urban design, Honda Livo BSVI will raise the bar of style, performance, and value in its segment”.
Under the frame, the 110cc motorcycle is powered by a 109.51cc engine that delivers 8.8 bhp power and 9.3 Nm torque. This is the same engine that powers the CD 110. As compared to its predecessor, the output figure is slightly lower along with an increase in fuel efficiency. This is mainly because the motor is now fuel-injected. Also, the engine gets a silent ACG starter. Suspension duties are carried out by the same telescopic fork up front and twin shock absorbers towards the rear. The Standard variant gets 130 mm drum brakes at both the ends while the Deluxe variant offers 190 mm front disc.
The BS6 Honda Livo is now available in four color options namely Athletic Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic, and Black. The company is also offering a special 6-year warranty package on the New Livo. The package includes a 3-year standard warranty along with a 3-year extended warranty as an option.
