BS6 Mahindra Mojo was launched on July 30th in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), India. Mojo comes in 4 different colours namely Garnet Black, Ruby Red, Red Agate and Pearl Black. The 300cc motorcycle rivals the likes of Bajaj Dominor 400 and KTM Duke 390 in its segment. The BS6 avtar replaces the outdated XT300 and UT300 variants. The new Mahindra Mojo does not feature any cosmetic updates and is similar to the BS4 in design. Price-wise, the BS6 Mahindra Mojo is Rs 11,000 more expensive than the older BS4 model. Bookings for the bike have already commenced with deliveries let to begin. Mahindra offered selected bike enthusiasts in India a chance to test ride the new Mojo.
Mahindra Mojo Riders Club member Rakesh Mehta got the chance to test drive the new motorcycle. As a result, he has uploaded a walkaround video of the Mojo and it gives us a fair idea about the bike. Rakesh took the excitement further by recording the exhaust note. According to him, the exhaust note is smoother compared to the BS4 model. He further attributed that the New Mojo experienced fewer jerks at lower RPM which is great news for the Indian buyers. The exhaust note is smoother probably due to the addition of Catalytic converters. Another major talking point is the two-wheeler's fuel efficiency which could be due to the update of a new BS6 compliant engine.
BS6 Mahindra Mojo comes equipped with a 300cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers a maximum power output of 27 bhp with 30 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Its braking responsibilities are taken care by twin discs - 320mm up front while the rear cater to a 240mm disc brake with a dual-channel ABS.
