With the near reaching BS6 deadline, TVS has revised its products to fulfill the forthcoming BS6 requirements. Whereas the Apache RTR 200, RTR 160, and Jupiter is launched in BS6 form, the Apache RR 310 is next on the list. On 25 January, TVS launches the BS6 Apache RR 310.
Besides a greener engine, TVS has also given cosmetic and feature improvements to its flagship motorcycle. The latest harley will feature new graphics and a two-tone paint scheme. The Instrument Console will be a significant update. The TVS will replace the current LCD instrument console with a TFT color screen. While the previous unit, like the new Apaches, was quite comprehensive, we expect to include Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and navigation.
Compared to the current torque of 34PS and 27.3Nm, the BS6 engine is projected to have a slight decrease in output. We hope that in terms of refinement, the updated motor has been improved. The underpinnings are supposed to be brought over apart from the radial tyres, which could be replaced with stickier rubber, on Michelin Pilot Road.
With these changes, we expect the BS6 Apache RR310 to increase in value of Rs 15,000 over the current model. This would bring the cost to about Rs 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is still more competitive than the BS4 KTM RC 390, its only rival. For more info, stay tuned.
