After a lot of spyshots and leaks, the facelifted version of Renault Duster was finally launched in India. The prices for Duster compact SUV start from Rs. 7.99 lakh for the base variant and the range of the SUV maxes out at Rs. 12.49 lakh for the top model. Renault Duster will lock horns with familiar rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Honda BR-V, and Nissan Kicks in the Indian market. Since the company decided to not bring the next gen model of the compact SUV to India and rather gave it a facelift, not a lot has changed on the new updated model of the Duster SUV. However, the changes are minute and one look at the facelifted model will give you a fair idea as to what things have changed on the latest model of Duster in the Indian market.
The updated model of the Renault Duster comes with a lot of aesthetic changes that will keep the model fresh in the market for the near future. The changes on the Duster include revised styling on the front end of the vehicle. The grille of the Duster now has chrome work on it and the bonnet of the car has also been restyled. The fog lamp housings of the SUV have also been reworked and also making a presence are LED DRLs that were not offered on previous models of the French automaker's SUV. The colour scheme now includes two new exterior body colour options – ‘Caspian Blue’ and ‘Mahogany Brown’.
The side photos of the SUV also show that the updated model of Duster will now sport new 16-inch alloy wheels. Moving on to the rear one finds that the new updated Duster sports a slightly tweaked LED tail lamp setup. There is also black cladding on the boot lid of the SUV that extends from the end of the tail lamps to the number plate area.
The interiors of the upcoming model of Duster have also been tweaked and one can see a lot of aesthetic changes and some additional features inside the upcoming version of SUV as well. The AC vents on the dashboard are now squarish in design and tweaks have also been made to the door trims of the SUV. The fabric work on the seats of the Duster is also new. The instrument cluster has also been reworked slightly while a major change comes in the form of a new steering wheel. Also present is a 17.64 cm touchscreen MediaNAV Evolution infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Voice Recognition and EcoGuide. Other features on the car include ARKAMYS audio, automatic AC, cooled glove box and cruise control among others. On the safety front, the new Duster is equipped with a host of active and passive safety features like ABS with EBD, driver and passenger airbags, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, speed alert, reverse parking camera, ESP, and Hill-Start Assist.
