Manufactured in both India and Brazil, the Citroen C3 was evaluated by Latin NCAP, but it's important to note that these results are applicable to the Brazil-spec model and not the one sold in India. In the future, if Global NCAP decides to conduct crash tests on the India-spec C3, the outcomes might differ.
The Brazil-spec Citroen C3 comes with standard safety features such as dual airbags and Electronic Stability Control. However, the adult occupant protection scored only 31%, while the child occupant protection fared even lower at 12%.
On the other hand, the India-spec Citroen C3 is equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seat belt reminders, a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, Electronic Stability Program, Hill-hold Assist, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. Additionally, the hatchback offers an array of features including a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected-car technology, a height-adjustable driver's seat, day/night IRVM, a digitized instrument cluster, fog lamps, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, steering-mounted audio controls, and a four-speaker sound system.
Currently available in India at a starting price of Rs 6.16 lakh, the Citroen C3 competes directly with the Tata Punch in the Indian market. It's worth mentioning that the segment now also features the newly launched Hyundai Exter.
