Citroen C5 Aircross has been spied doing test runs on Indian roads ahead of its official launch

Citroen is planning to debut its C5 Aircross premium SUV in the month of May 2021 in the Indian market. This will further mark the return of Groupe PSA into the domestic market. The French manufacturer has been doing quite well in the global market. With the launch of C5 Aircross, Citroen India plans to create a big impact in the country. The C5 Aircross has been spotted doing test runs on multiple occasions in the past. Recently, C5 Aircross was once again caught on camera doing a test run on Indian road. The exterior and interior images of the C5 Aircross have been leaked online ahead of its official launch. The spied images give us a fair idea of what the India-spec model will look like.  



In terms of design, the C5 Aircross looks similar to the standard Citroen. From the spied images, we can clearly see the split LED headlamp cluster with LED DRL's. The model gets funky bumper highlights. On the sides, it gets stylish alloy wheels. The rear end boasts of wraparound LED tail-lights. Other design highlights include roof rails, black pillars, and a large greenhouse. 



The spy shots of the cabin of the India-spec C5 Aircross reveal its dual-tone dashboard along with vertically positioned AC vents. There is also an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit positioned in the middle. Furthermore, it features a multi-functional steering wheel with mounted controls. There is also a Citroen’s insignia on it. The instrument cluster seen in the images is an all-digital unit. The international-spec C5 Aircross gets 6 airbags, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake, hands-free tailgate, powered driver seat, connectivity features among many others.




The India-spec Citroen C5 Aircross, under the bonnet, will be offered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 180 bhp power. The engine is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
