Citroen C5 AirCross to Get Costlier from January 1, 2022

Citroen India has announced a price hike for the C5 Aircross SUV with effect from January 1, 2022 in the country. The effective price increase will be up to 3 percent on the existing ex-showroom prices of the Feel & Shine variants. Citroen C5 AirCross is receiving a hike in price due to continuous rise in the cost of commodities & ocean freight costs. The C5 AirCross Feel and Shine variants are currently priced at Rs 31.80 Lakhs and Rs 32.80 Lakhs (Both the prices are Ex. Showroom, New Delhi), respectively. 

The company is offering attractive retail benefits in the month of December for customers before the price hike. The C5 AirCross is being exclusively offered with Insurance at just Re 1, Complimentary Smart Care package and attractive EMI options starting from Rs 33,333/month. The Smart Care package includes 1 year complimentary repair for minor paint chipping and/or scratches on external metal body panels. These new benefits offered in December will complement the existing Citroën 360⁰ Comfort benefits like the 30-min Guaranteed Trade-in and Citroën Service Promise, which includes 180-minute Road Side Assistance guarantee, Complimentary pick up & drop for periodic maintenance, Complimentary Service On Wheels and Virtual Remote Diagnosis.

Mechanically, the C5 AirCross is powered by a 1997cc 4-cylinder diesel engine which develops top power of 174 bhp at 3750 rpm and peak torque of 400 Nm at 2000 rpm. The engine is offered with an exclusive 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV delivers an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 18.6kmpl. Measuring 4.5 metres in length, it has fuel tank capacity of 52.5 litres. It rides on 18-inch 'SWIRL' dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard. As for braking, the C5 AirCross comes with disc units at the front as well as rear. The suspension duties are carried by a Macpherson strut unit With double progressive hydraulic cushions at front while there is a Twist beam axle with single progressive hydraulic cushions at rear.
