Cleveleand Ace Deluxe motorcycle gets a massive price cut in India of Rs. 38,000/-.

Cleveland Cyclewerks is an American motorcycle maker that started its operations in India a few months back in September 2018 after showcasing a range of motorcycles at the 2018 Auto Expo. The bikemaker commenced their sales with two motorcycles in the Indian market - Cleveland Ace Deluxe and Cleveland Misfit.

Out of these two motorcycles, Cleveland Cyclewerks has cut the price of the Ace Deluxe significantly by Rs. 38,000/-. The Ace Deluxe was priced at Rs. 2.23 lakhs at the time of its launch and after the price cut, it retails at Rs. 1.85 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom). We feel that the launch of Jawa motorcycles in India and stiff competition from Royal Enfield is the reason for this price cut.

The high price tag of the Cleveland bikes is due to the fact that these bikes are offered in India via the CKD route and are being assembled here with minimal localisation. Powering the Clevleand Ace Deluxe is a single-cylinder, 229cc engine that produces a peak power output of 15.4 BHP at 7000 RPM and a peak torque of 16 Nm at 6000 RPM, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
