Deliveries of the petrol variant are set to begin this festive season.

Jeep's first ‘mass market’ product, the Compass is priced from ₹14.95 lakh and features two engines – a 162hp, 1.4-litre petrol and a 173hp, 2.0-litre diesel. While the petrol can be bought with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch auto, the diesel is only available as a manual for now. A nine-speed automatic will make its way here in January, with deliveries set to start in February.

Jeep has already received 5,000 bookings within 40 days – 60 percent of which are for the top-spec diesel. Deliveries of the diesel version will commence on August 6, 2017, while the petrol variant will be delivered around Diwali. With each car, you get a warranty of three years/1 lakh kilometres and Jeep currently has 50 dealerships around India and intends to expand to 60 retail outlets by December 2017.

Apart from this, Jeep Announced the entry of its Mopar sales and performance brand in India.
