Dodge will launch a new Viper in 2020

The Viper will be powered by a new 558hp, naturally aspirated V8 engine.

On the model’s 30th anniversary, Dodge will launch a new Viper, powered by a new 558hp naturally aspirated V8 engine, which will replace the old V10.

The the range-topper is expected to be a 710hp V8 unit, which will launch later, and the range will have manual gearboxes as well. The Viper shape will most probably remain, and the focus will be on weight-saving, with a lot o use of aluminium and carbon-fibre in the bodywork.

The first version will be a convertible, with a coupé following sometime after. The 710hp version will arrive later, while a New Motorsport challenger is also expected to bring the Dodge brand back to compete at the GT3 championships.
