Ducati Multistrada V4 is sold in a total of two variants - V4 and V4 S

Ducati has launched the Multistrada V4 at an introductory price of Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. The motorcycle is offered in a total of two variants - V4 and V4 S in the Indian market. Talking about the price for the top-spec V4 S, the red color costs Rs 23.10 lakhs (ex-showroom). While the silver shade is retailed at Rs 23.30 lakhs (ex-showroom). Bookings of the bike can be done at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. Interested buyers can reserve the bike at Ducati’s authorized dealerships across the country. 


Ducati Multistrada V4 - Engine Specification & Chassis

Performance-wise, the Multistrada V4 is powered by a 1158cc Granturismo, liquid-cooled, four valves per cylinder, V4 motor that churns out 168 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 125 Nm peak torque at 8750 rpm. The engine comes with a spring valve return system. Also, it is 1.2 kg lighter than the Testastretta twin-cylinder that powers the Multistrada 1260. Ducati claims a 60,000 km interval between a valve check which is basically double the distance than that of the V-twin-powered Multistrada 1260. 

The 2021 Multistrada V4 sits on an aluminium monocoque frame. The bike rides on 19-inch wheel upfront and a 17-inch wheel at the rear. The fuel tank capacity stands at 22-litres. The Ducati Multistrada V4 comes with a wheelbase of 1567mm and offers a ground clearance of 220 mm. Suspension duties in the base model are taken care of by fully adjustable 50 mm USD forks upfront and an adjustable mono-shock suspension sourced from Marzocchi with a cantilever layout towards the rear. In the case of the higher-spec V4 S, the bike comes with a semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension. 

Ducati Multistrada V4 - Features

The electronic kit of the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 comprises Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) with cornering ABS system, and the Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC). The V4 S variant comes with Cornering Lights (DCL). Coming back to the standard V4 trim, it features a semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) control system with Auto leveling function and Vehicle Hold Control (VHC). The main feature highlight of the bike is the front and rear radar system that basically allows the use of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD).

Ducati Multistrada V4 - Rivals 

2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 will be competing against the likes of the recently launched 2021 BMW R 1250 GS and Honda CRF 1100 L.
