Honda 2Wheelers India commenced its export business in 2001 with its debut model Activa

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India achieved a new milestone. The brand’s cumulative exports have crossed the 30 lakh units milestone in its 21st year of operation. With these numbers, Honda 2Wheelers aims to strengthen its export footprint across the globe.

“Such milestones are a shining testimony of HMSI’s sustained efforts in expanding Honda’s footprint in global exports. Last year we flagged off our global engine production line at the Vithalapur plant in Gujarat, thus strengthening our export capabilities further. As we make further inroads into developed markets, our reinstated focus on exports expansion takes HMSI one step closer to becoming a ‘Manufacturing Hub for the World’,” as commented by Atsushi Ogata – Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.

Honda 2Wheelers India started exports with its debut model Activa back in 2001. The brand is considered the world’s no.1 scooter exporter of India. It has managed to delight more than 30 lakh customers in 29 diverse export markets. Talking about Honda’s export portfolio, it consists of 18 two-wheeler models with Dio leading the charge.
