Ford’s one-off muscle car will be powered by a 710hp V8.

The supercharged Mustang produced by Ford Performance will take part in the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It comes with unique Royal Air Force livery and an engine that produces 710hp from an uprated 5.0-litre V8.

The car is dedicated to American pilots who voluntarily served in the RAF during World War II before the US had officially joined the conflict. “Goodwood’s RAF Westhampnett hosted US air force squadrons [during World War II], so it is completely appropriate to have the car here in this, our silver jubilee year, while the RAF celebrates its centenary,” said the Duke of Richmond and Gordon, founder of the Goodwood Festival.

The car will then be sent to an aircraft fundraiser event in Wisconsin, US, where it will be auctioned, to raise money for youth education programmes in the area.
