Earth Energy Launches Fully Electric Two Motorcycles and a Scooter in India

India’s first electric cruiser Evolve R launched at a price point of Rs 1.30 lakh.

Indian EV segment is observing a lot of traction with the entry of new brands and products. Today, Earth Energy has launched 3 all-electric products - two motorcycles and one scooter. Starting with Earth Energy Glyde+ electric scooter, it is available at a price of Rs 92,000 while the Evolve R cruiser motorcycle costs Rs 1.30 lakh. Indian buyers can purchase the Evolve Z, a street electric motorcycle for Rs 1.42 lakh. All the prices mentioned here are on-road. The Glyde + will be available for sale through authorized dealerships from this month-end while the other two models will be made available by March-end. As of now, there are 7 dealerships in Mumbai with Earth Energy planning to expand its reach out points to 45 stores across the country. Interested customers can book their electric two-wheeler with a token amount of Rs 1,000 and it is being said that the dealerships will take care of the delivery. 


Earth Energy’s latest line-up of products come in 3 colour schemes namely Marshal Grey, Jet Black and White. The new entire range comes loaded with features like automatic headlight, LCD display unit which is visible during the day as well as night. All three vehicles provide advanced features called Smart in True Sense. Essentially, this is an internet-connected feature app. This feature helps the rider in tracking live navigation, incoming calls/messages alert, trip history, and current destination on-screen. 


Talking about the performance, the Glyde + is powered by a 2.4kWh electric motor that delivers a power output of 3.36 bhp. The scooter comes with a claimed range of 100 kms and has a top speed of 60 kmph. Further, the EV manufacturer has offered LED headlight and CBS (Combined Braking System) on this scooter. On the other hand, Evolve Z houses a powerful 96 AH/ Li-ion Battery. The electric cruiser produces 7.2 bhp of power output and 56Nm of peak torque. The bike offers a claimed range of 100 kms on a single charge with a top speed of 95 kmph.  

The most powerful product in the brands line-up is the Evolve R. It is propelled by a 96 AH/ Li-ion battery that provides a power output of 16.76 bhp with 54Nm of peak torque. The electric motorcycle can touch a top speed of 110 km with an electric range of 100 kms on a single charge. Charging time for all the 3 EV's launched today is 2.5 hours while 0 to 80 per cent charging is possible in 40 minutes through the fast-charging option. Their batteries are not removable. As per the company, dealers are supposed to set up a charging station for customers as per their convenience.
