The carmaker will show the updated C-Class at the Geneva motor show in March 2018. The car will also see the debut of a new 2.0-litre diesel engine for international markets. The 2.1-litre engine on the C 220d and C 250d will be replaced by this unit. Merc claims the new engine makes more power and is more efficient.
The rest of the engines will remain unchanged in the international line-up. The car will be fitted with new LED headlights, a revised bumper with new air intakes and a more sloping grille design. The C-class will also feature an updated infotainment system and is expected to borrow the S-Class’ new touchpad and steering with controls for the in-car entertainment.
The stonking C 43 and C 63 will also be refreshed and will go on sale after the standard models. The C-class facelift is also expected to arrive in India sometime in 2018.
