Ford Aspire Facelift Launched, Priced From Rs. 5.55 Lakhs

Ford launches the sub-four-metre compact sedan, the Aspire facelift, ahead of the festive season.

Ford has finally launched the Aspire facelift. The car gets new petrol engines and many interiors and exterior tweaks. The new Aspire is available from Rs. 5.55 lakhs to Rs. 8.49 lakhs.

The new Aspire is offered with three engine options – a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol unit which produces 96 PS and 120 Nm, a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel motor that churns out 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque. Both these engines will be mated to a new 5-speed manual gearbox. The third option is a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that produces 123 PS of power.

On the outside, the front grille is completely redesigned along with integrated chrome surrounding. The foglamps housing also get chrome treatment. The side silhouette of Aspire remains unchanged. The restyled taillamps complete the exteriors of the car. The new Aspire sits on larger 15-inch alloy wheels. The compact sedan is offered in seven colours – White Gold, Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey, Absolute Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ruby Red and Oxford White.

The interior of the car is beige in colour. Features like automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps and many more are offered in the new Aspire. The SYNC 3 infotainment system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The new Aspire is safeguarded by anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) as standard. The automatic petrol variant additionally gets electronic stability program (ESP), hill start assists (HSA). There are five variants in each petrol and diesel manual transmission option and automatic is offered only in a petrol variant.
