Ford India has launched the BS 6 compliant versions of Figo, Aspire and Freestyle in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in the country. The 2020 BS 6 Ford Figo price start at Rs 5.39 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The 2020 BS 6 Ford Aspire is priced in a range of Rs 5.99-8.34 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) while the prices of 2020 BS 6 Ford Freestyle are in bracket of Rs 5.89-8.19 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
Interestingly, the BS 6 top-end Titanium+ variants of Aspire sedan in both petrol and diesel fuel trims see a decline in price by Rs 38,000 and Rs 28,000, respectively, as compared to older BS 4 models. The range-topping BS 6 Titanium+ variants of Ford Freestyle petrol and diesel also witness reduction in price by Rs 27,000 against the older BS 4 models. The American automaker has introduced a new base variant for fleet owners in the diesel fuel trim of Ford Aspire which is priced at Rs 7.07 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). All the three BS 6 compliant models come with a standard 3-year or 100,000 kms warranty with longer service intervals of 10,000 kms.
The 2020 BS 6 Ford Figo, Ford Aspire and Ford Freestyle have been equipped with the company's FordPass connectivity at no additional cost. The FordPass has been made a standard feature across the entire product portfolio of Ford in India. In addition, all the variants of the aforementioned products gets a factory-fitted cloud-connected device that will communicate with vehicle owners in real-time via the FordPass smartphone application which will enable buyers to perform several operations such as locking/unlocking the vehicle, knowledge about fuel levels, distance to empty, find directions etc. to name a few. The owners can also locate dealers, find directions, access service history through the FordPass app.
Some of the premium features that come with the BS 6 compliant 2020 Ford Aspire, Ford Figo and Ford Freestyle include automatic headlamps, electrochromic mirror, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start, touchscreen infotainment system with embedded navigation and 6-airbags. Mechanically, the petrol variants will draw power from the BS 6 compliant 1.2L 3-cylinder TiVCT engine which delivers 95bhp and 119Nm while mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel variants are packed with the BS 6 compliant 1.5L TDCi engine which generates best-in-segment power output of 98bhp and peak torque of 215Nm.
