Ford Figo also known as Ka in then international market has scored a three-star rating in the latest round of Latin NCAP crash tests.

The Ford Figo facelift scored three-stars for the adult occupancy but scored four-star rating for child occupancy. The reports from the safety rating organisation said, the overall protection is good but the dual-front airbags deployed during the frontal crash were not sufficient to keep the front passengers safe. The Figo lost some points at the rear door opening during the side impact tests.

The Brazil-spec Figo comes with ABS, dual front airbags, seat belt pre-tensioners at the front and ISOFIX child seat mounts on the rear as standard. The electronic stability control is missed out on the vehicle which deducted some more points of the car.

For India, Ford will first launch the compact sedan Figo Aspire facelift on October 4. The Aspire will carry many styling cues, features and equipment from the Freestyle. However, many manufacturers are increasing the safety features in their products to comply with the new safety regulations of the Indian government.
